Gold Coast Golf Course Upgrade: Energy-Efficient HVAC System Overhaul
The Links Gold Coast golf course recently completed a significant upgrade to its HVAC system, featuring a like-for-like replacement of 24 air handling units, 1 chiller, and 1 buffer tank. The selected replacement units are compliant to the National Construction Code 2022, ensuring enhanced system efficiency and sustainability.
As part of the upgrade, carbon dioxide (CO2) monitoring was integrated into the system. This CO2 monitoring feature helps to maintain optimal indoor air quality while preventing the unnecessary introduction of outside air. By keeping CO2 levels within the AS1668.2 compliant range of 600ppm-800ppm, the system minimizes energy consumption, reducing power usage for air handling units and contributing to the facility’s overall energy efficiency.
