Giving Back to the Community
It’s important that we contribute to our local community – without them whom we would not have a business. We support community mental health & suicide prevention via our chosen charities, Mates In Construction and Headspace Nundah (QLD). We also support Variety, a charity that supports children living with sickness, disadvantage, and disability.
MATES is a charity established in 2008 to reduce the high level of suicide among Australian construction workers. Furthermore, they provide suicide prevention through community development programs on sites, and by supporting workers in need through case management and a 24/7 help line.
QPT Services acknowledges that suicide is everyone’s business and strive to improve the mental health and well-being of construction workers.
Headspace Nundah supports young Australians and their families to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
The team at headspace Nundah can assist young people aged 12 to 25 with mental health, general health, drug, alcohol, work and study issues. Support services include psychologists, social workers, dietitians, and alcohol & drug services.
Variety – the Children’s Charity supports kids and families facing many challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with a disability.
QPT Services supports The Variety Bash each year, with Director Brad Edwards contributing to the cost of a vehicle and participating with enthusiasm in the Variety Bash.
