The required testing frequency depends on your work environment — and the documentation you receive determines whether you can demonstrate compliance when it counts.
What We Test and How
Every item is physically checked for cable damage, cracked insulation, plug defects, and visible deterioration. Anything presenting an immediate risk is flagged before electrical testing begins.
QPT uses calibrated test instruments to verify insulation resistance, earth continuity, and polarity against AS/NZS 3760. Equipment that passes is tagged and logged. Equipment that fails is removed from service immediately and documented in your report.
Documentation is where a lot of test and tag providers cut corners. Every QPT engagement produces a full asset register, a pass/fail compliance report, and dated colour-coded tags, formatted to meet AS/NZS 3760 record-keeping requirements and available in digital or hard copy.

QPT services worked closely with ND&Y engineers to deliver a defect-free project on a 3 chiller upgrade on a live data centre. Works included decommissioning existing chillers and installing new chillers, including change over panels, Variable speed drives, and electrical and electrical control.
