Smoke exhaust systems are life-safety infrastructure under the National Construction Code (NCC), and their performance at the critical moment depends entirely on the quality of the installation and commissioning. QPT Services designs and installs mechanical smoke exhaust systems and stairwell pressurisation systems for commercial and industrial buildings across Brisbane in accordance with Fire Engineer’s Report (FER) and AS 1668.1.
Smoke exhaust system services
QPT installs smoke exhaust fans in Brisbane commercial buildings, industrial buildings, car parks, and atrium spaces. Fan selection is based on the required smoke exhaust volume, operating temperature during a fire event, and NCC performance requirements for the specific occupancy type and building height.
Stairwell pressurisation maintains a positive pressure differential between escape routes and adjacent fire compartments, preventing smoke from entering stairwells during evacuation. QPT installs pressurisation fan systems, pressure relief dampers, and control systems integrated with the fire alarm.
Every smoke exhaust system installed by QPT is commissioned and performance-verified before handover, including fan performance measurement, damper sequencing verification, and pressure differential testing for pressurisation systems.
